Vision Products is looking for a compassionate, practical and professional full-time Drivers Mate to join our Community Equipment Service team. Working alongside the driver, you will help deliver, install and handle medical aids that support people across the community to maintain their independence, safety and quality of life.

About the role

As a drivers Mate you will:

  • Assist with the picking, preparation, loading and unloading of equipment and goods for daily deliveries.
  • Support the driver with the safe delivery and installation of medical aids in people’s homes and community settings.
  • Provide a friendly, respectful and professional service when dealing with clients, families, colleagues and partner organisations.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge by working closely with the wider team and following guidance provided.
  • Follow all relevant policies, procedures, risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work to ensure services are delivered safely.
  • Contribute to a high-quality, reliable service that makes a real difference to people’s independence in the community.

What we are looking for

  • A positive, practical and hands-on approach, with pride in delivering excellent customer service.
  • A caring and professional manner when supporting people who may rely on community equipment to remain independent.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions, procedures and safe working practices.
  • A reliable attitude, good communication skills and willingness to learn about the equipment and service.
