Parc Newydd Home for the Elderly is situated just off the retail park in Talbot Green, within walking distance of the local bus station.
About us… We provide a high standard quality of care for up to 32 individuals with a diagnosis of dementia and general residential. We support our residents to maintain skills and encourage independence and promote dignity and privacy at all times. We respect people's choices and engage individuals in activities and social outings.
As we are a regulated service our focus is on encouraging individuals' care needs and for plans to be outcome based.
The role… We are interested in hearing from people who are reliable, have excellent communication skills and work well with others to work within our social care workforce. Duties will include general domestic tasks, kitchen duties and personal care of residents and service users.
You will need to be flexible and available at short notice to support our homes and cover periods of absence of permanent staff during the week, weekends and nights.
Candidates for these posts will have a positive outlook and understanding of the needs of older people. Previous experience of working with or spending time with an older person or person with a disability would be an advantage. The successful candidates will be supported to complete the All Wales Induction Framework (AWIF), a programme designed to prepare you for your new role and registration with Social Care Wales.
