Tegfan is set in its own grounds in Trecynon - Aberdare, within walking distance of a bus station.
About us: We provide a high standard quality of care for up to 45 individuals with a diagnosis of dementia. We support residents to maintain skills, promote independence, dignity and privacy, and engage individuals in activities and social outings.
The role: We are looking for reliable individuals with excellent communication skills who can work well with others in a social care environment. Responsibilities include general domestic tasks, kitchen duties and personal care of residents and service users. You will need to be flexible and available at short notice to cover periods of absence of permanent staff during the week, weekends and nights.
Candidates should have a positive outlook and understanding of the needs of older people. Previous experience with older adults or people with a disability is advantageous. The successful candidate will be supported to complete the All Wales Induction Framework (AWIF) and to register with Social Care Wales.
