The post holder will assist with the day-to-day operation of the relevant library under the direction of the Central Librarian. This will include service delivery, building management, staff management and supervision.
You will attend carers awareness training and will assist with the provision of an advice and information service to carers as well as the provision of carers grants under current arrangements. You will deputise for the Central Librarian in leading and motivating a Library team responsible for providing face-to-face services including library provision and Council services enquiries. To assist with procedural development, be responsible for staff training and carry out quality checking. To co-ordinate a range of Community Hub services and work with a wide range of partners to maximise Library and Hub use. To be responsible for the organisation and running of Library and Hub events managing the participation of staff and volunteers where necessary. To encourage financial and digital inclusion by offering practical assistance and advice.
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of a Branch Library in the absence of the Central Librarian. Assisting with the co-ordination of a range of services and work with a wide range of partners to maximise library use. Proving carers with a place to find information about the help and support available to them. Arranging and assisting with Community library events and encouraging financial and digital inclusion by providing practical assistance and advice.
