About Albany House
Albany House is a friendly, supportive, and high‑performing practice located in a beautiful grade II listed building in the heart of Worcester. The practice serves a mixed patient population of just over 7,000.
Role Overview
We are looking for a conscientious, open and approachable GP to work up to 4 sessions per week alongside our enthusiastic and dynamic team while one of our salaried GPs is on maternity leave. The successful candidate will be passionate about good patient care and committed to working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct surgery consultations and telephone consultations
- Visit patients at home as required
- Check and sign repeat prescriptions
- Handle queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion
- Provide high‑quality patient care and excellent communication with patients and carers
- Effectively manage own time, workload and resources
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team
- Familiarity with primary care clinical systems (EMIS, Docman10, Accurx)
- Excellent time keeping
- Exceptional team player
- Good understanding of GMS contracting requirements and QoF
- Sense of humour considered essential
