Acorns Children's Hospice is looking for a Community Partnership Worker for our Worcester hospice to develop a peer support programme and youth leadership programme, with the aim to increase grief literacy.
As a Community Partnership Worker, you will:
- Map community assets across Acorns regions.
- Be responsible for the creation of resources covering topics which matter most to young people.
- Facilitate workshops and focus groups to promote a public health approach to palliative and end‑of‑life care.
- Identify external funding opportunities through collaborative partnerships.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with our communities.

As an employee you will be a Duty Bearer for Children’s Rights and support all children to be Rights Holders.
Responsibilities
- Experience in the development of community partnerships.
- Able to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of asset‑based community development/compassionate communities principles and practices.
- Competent IT skills.
- Travel independently across the region.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Will be subject to an enhanced DBS check for children and provide two satisfactory references.
- Provide evidence of immunisation against specific diseases or confirm willingness to receive necessary vaccinations.
- Knowledge of resources and services available within the community.
Required
- Disclosure and Barring Service Check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
