Overview

Practice Plus Group’s Health in Justice team provides NHS services to over 53 secure facilities, with a focus on patient care in prisons, young offenders and immigration removal centres.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain patient medical records to the agreed standard at all times.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to a high and orderly standard.
  • Administer medicines timely and analyse cost‑effective prescribing in line with the Health in Justice medicines policy.
  • Communicate complex or sensitive information to patients with empathy and understanding.
  • Share information on pharmaceutical products, medicines optimisation, drug regimes, legislation and general health education with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Work independently while adhering to policy and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

  • NVQ Level3, BTEC or equivalent qualifications.
  • Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC).
  • Post‑qualification experience working in a pharmacy environment and with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures.
  • Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment is desirable but not essential.
