Overview
Practice Plus Group’s Health in Justice team provides NHS services to over 53 secure facilities, with a focus on patient care in prisons, young offenders and immigration removal centres.
Responsibilities
- Maintain patient medical records to the agreed standard at all times.
- Follow standard operating procedures to a high and orderly standard.
- Administer medicines timely and analyse cost‑effective prescribing in line with the Health in Justice medicines policy.
- Communicate complex or sensitive information to patients with empathy and understanding.
- Share information on pharmaceutical products, medicines optimisation, drug regimes, legislation and general health education with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Work independently while adhering to policy and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level3, BTEC or equivalent qualifications.
- Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC).
- Post‑qualification experience working in a pharmacy environment and with a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures.
- Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment is desirable but not essential.
