Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the delivery of products across trust sites, ensuring appropriate storage conditions are maintained.
  • Perform daily, weekly and sessional cleaning of the aseptic unit and isolators to meet Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
  • Support the preparation of aseptically prepared medication.
  • Conduct daily stock level checks of drugs and consumables within the aseptic department, replenish stock using a picking list generated via the JAC pharmacy system.
  • Receive and correctly store dose‑banded products and outsourced patient‑specific SACTs.
  • Assist with dispensing dose‑banded products and support the delivery service of SACTs to clinics and wards, ensuring proper documentation and tracking.

Qualifications

  • No prior experience required – specialist training of 6‑12 months provided.
  • Work towards an approved qualification relevant to the job, e. g., Level2 Certificate in Pharmacy Services Skills.
  • GCSE Grade C or above in English Language and Maths.
  • Previous experience in stock control and ordering.
  • Experience in cleaning an aseptic unit and isolators.
  • Working knowledge of the Pharmacy JAC system.
  • Working knowledge of SACTs treatment.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload, and refer problems as appropriate.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; good command of the English language and maths.

The role involves tight schedules and deadlines, requiring good manual dexterity and accuracy.
