Overview
Elm Tree Surgery is a popular, high performing training practice with a growing patient list size of 18.5k located in Thornaby, Stockton‑on‑Tees.
The practice is an active member of Stockton PCN and uses Systm One.
The practice offers a supportive and collaborative team environment, encouraging learning, development and personal growth.
We will be welcoming a salaried general practitioner to join a team of 5 GP partners, 6 salaried GPs, ACPs, paramedics, a clinical pharmacist, practice nurses and HCAs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct face‑to‑face and telephone patient appointments (sessions).
- Provide patient triage, admin filing of bloods/letters and timely assessment of incoming electronic and paper correspondence.
- Home visits and record clear, contemporaneous I. T.‑based notes in patient records.
- Prescribe according to the practice formulary, local and national guidelines.
- Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self‑referred or referred from other health care workers.
- Participate in regular meetings and support the team‑working culture.
Qualifications and Experience
- Registered GP on the General Practitioner Register (article10) and not subject to suspension.
- Completed Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and current NHS Performers list status.
- DBS clearance.
- Evidence of time‑relevant revalidation/appraisal cycle.
- Experience in primary care/GP practice (desirable).
