We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking GP to work in our friendly practice. Heathview Medical Practice is a supportive, nurturing, teaching practice. We would happily support a newly qualified GP or enable a more experienced GP to fly. Special interests would be welcome. We are a training practice in a rural area with a rapidly growing list size due to steadily increasing new housing in the area. We are delighted to be expanding our GP team. We understand that peoples needs vary and we are willing to have conversations about flexibility around working hours.
Clinical Responsibilities: In accordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness In consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards Collecting data for audit purposes Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding handwritten prescriptions whenever possible) Prescribing in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
We are looking to appoint a friendly, enthusiastic salaried GP to join our supportive and caring multi-sited Practice situated in Tamworth for approximately 8 sessions, however, this is negotiable for the right candidate.
Consultation sessions including face to face and telephone Clinical administration Attend educational, multidisciplinary, practice and clinical meetings (paid) Attend training and events organised by the practice and the ICB/Federation (paid) Participate in an annual performance review Contribute to the development and improvement of the practice
