We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Pharmacist Independent Prescriber to join our team. This is a patient-facing role suited to a confident clinician who is comfortable working autonomously and managing a wide range of presentations within primary care.

Responsibilities

  • Independently assess, diagnose, and manage patients, including those presenting with undifferentiated conditions
  • Prescribe safely and effectively within scope of practice
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions in line with current clinical guidelines
  • Work autonomously while contributing to the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Support and deliver high-quality patient care within a busy practice environment
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of QOF (Quality and Outcomes Framework) and QIF (Quality Improvement Framework)
  • Contribute to achieving practice targets and supporting day-to-day operational and clinical matters
  • Provide clinical support and advice to colleagues where appropriate

  • Training practice with trainee Registrars, trainee PAS and Medical Students

Qualifications

  • Qualified Clinical Pharmacist with Independent Prescriber status
  • Proven experience in primary care or general practice setting
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to confidently manage undifferentiated presentations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive, organised, and able to work independently
