We are looking to recruit friendly and enthusiastic Administrator and Receptionist (Patient Care Coordinator) to join our busy GP Practice based in Swindon., Open and prepare reception for surgeries Arrange clinical appointments for patients Process patient requests for medical support, admin or general care appointments via Systm Connect (online form), phone or reception front desk. Receive and direct patients arriving for appointments Filing and pulling medical records Operate surgery computer and telephone system Process patient registrations Action patient referrals Liaise with hospital departments and other care providers regarding patients Document coding Actioning practice emails Safeguarding adminstration Medical reports and private letter request processing Attend Patient Services Team meetings as appropriate and assist with the development and improvement of reception and administrative processes
The ideal candidate would be a team player who has strong IT and communication skills. The post holder will need to be able to work well under pressure and cope with conflicting demands. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential. This is an ideal job for someone looking to start and develop their career in the NHS or someone with experience who thrives in the busy GP environment. The candidate must be willing to learn and have the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Ridgeway View Family Practice is a ~15,000 patient, busy General Practice surgery based across two sites in Wroughton and Chiseldon.
We are part of Brunel Healthcare Group (Brunel PCN 1) working together with other practices across Swindon to achieve best practice outcomes and economy of scale working. Examples of this are the former STEAM vaccination centre and our current joint Saturday Extended Access clinic. We have a strong team of nurses, ACPs, Paramedic, Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescriber and Patient Care Coordinators. There is no working outside of core hours expected.
