Were looking for a patient-focused and clinically driven Homecare Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team based at Thorncliffe Park, Sheffield.
As a Responsible Pharmacist, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, effective and compliant delivery of pharmacy services for homecare patients.
You will provide professional leadership to the pharmacy team, oversee dispensing operations, support service development initiatives and contribute to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday – Onsite.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Responsible Pharmacist for the registered pharmacy premises, ensuring safe and effective delivery of pharmacy services and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance, support and professional leadership to pharmacy colleagues, ensuring high standards of patient care and service delivery.
- Clinically check prescriptions, dispensed products and patient formulations, ensuring accuracy, safety and timely supply to patients.
- Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to patients, nurses, healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders, resolving complex clinical queries where required.
- Ensure adherence to General Pharmaceutical Council (GPh C) standards, pharmacy legislation, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality requirements.
- Contribute to audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, corrective action plans (CAPAs), complaints management and continuous improvement activities.
- Participate in the pharmacy on‑call rota to support homecare services outside normal working hours when required.
- Undertake the duties of a Responsible Pharmacist in the registered B Braun Medical Pharmacy premises, being responsible and accountable for the safe and effective provision of pharmacy services whilst signed on.
- Provide specialist professional expertise for existing and new ambulatory services, taking professional accountability for advice given and decisions made.
- Liaise with cross‑divisional departments to ensure pharmacy products are delivered in an accurate, timely and cost‑effective manner.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Team Management and Leadership
- Act as a Responsible Pharmacist for the B Braun Pharmacies, being responsible for the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy when signed on.
- Provide professional leadership for the pharmacy team, ensuring services for Trans Care and Renal Therapies customers are in accordance with GPh C professional standards.
- Contribute to the education, training and development of the pharmacy team.
- Ensure appropriate delegation of tasks and exercise proper oversight.
- Maintain own competency and continuous professional development in line with regulatory and business requirements.
- Marketing and Service Development
- Provide professional expertise, advice and support to the Trans Care management team to facilitate service development when required.
- Attend customer account review meetings and develop and maintain key customer stakeholder relationships.
- Develop clinical knowledge in a designated area to support ambulatory services.
- Service Delivery and Contract Management
- Ensure operational pharmacy duties are completed for homecare services.
- Check dispensed items for Trans Care and Renal Therapies patients, ensuring accuracy of the product supplied.
- Check set‑up of patient formulations, product stability and prescription accuracy, liaising with internal and external colleagues.
- Ensure the pharmacy service is patient‑focused and in accordance with the market position of a quality service provider.
- Participate in rota to support homecare services outside working hours, taking queries from nurses and patients, providing advice and making out‑of‑hours supplies.
- Contribute to tenders and discuss complex clinical and formulation issues with external customers, negotiating solutions to provide the best outcome for patients.
- Serve as a point of contact for wider ambulatory colleagues, answering queries or delegating tasks to other pharmacy team members as appropriate.
- Compliance
- Support the Superintendent Pharmacist in ensuring compliance with GPh C standards for registered pharmacies, relevant legislation and contractual obligations.
- Contribute to the maintenance of SOPs to ensure safe and effective running of the pharmacy and delivery of pharmacy services.
- Assist in writing and reviewing pharmacy SOPs where appropriate.
- Support pharmacy staff in documenting and reporting product quality complaints or adverse drug reactions, in accordance with procedure, to the Regulatory Affairs department.
- Contribute to completing, acting on and reporting pharmacy risk assessments, CAPAs, near‑misses and complaints.
- Engage with GPh C inspections and support the implementation of corrective actions following findings.
- Quality Assurance
- Maintain high quality, best practice and continuous improvement of the pharmacy service in line with business requirements and marketing strategy.
- Support the Superintendent Pharmacist in delivering pharmacy services effectively and efficiently.
- Ensure the pharmacy services meet and maintain CQC standards.
- Ensure pharmacy processes meet and maintain the required standards for the GPh C.
- Assist in managing issues that could impact patients, such as product recalls, in conjunction with the CAPS Quality Manager and other relevant parties.
- Make professional decisions in ambiguous situations, ensuring patient safety and continuity of care.
- Support data collection to demonstrate performance against key performance indicators for ambulatory services.
- Ensure reports from customers relating to product quality complaints or adverse drug reactions are documented and the essential minimum information is forwarded to the Regulatory Affairs Department the same day they are received.
- Contribute to the development of B Braun UK through enthusiastic participation in cross‑divisional activities and act in a professional manner at all times to promote a positive image of the company.

Qualifications
- MPharm Degree (or equivalent qualification in Pharmacy)
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPh C)
- Post‑registration pharmacist experience within a relevant clinical setting
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of pharmacy governance and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Masters degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
- Post‑registration pharmacist experience in a relevant area such as homecare, aseptic services, nutrition, dialysis, antibiotics or oncology
- Proven leadership skills
