General Health Care Duties including Phlebotomy, ECGs, injections including B12s, Shingles, Pneumonia and Flu. To undertake annual reviews and blood pressure checks as required including Hypertension and Learning Disability. Assisting with clinics such as baby clinics, minor surgery and contraceptive implants. Checking and ordering stock, stock taking such as emergency drugs, checking fridge temperatures. Getting waste ready for collection., To assist the Practice Nurse and members of the multidisciplinary team, to deliver high quality, practice based healthcare. This includes the general organisation of the clinical area and associated clinical, administration and general duties, which ensure an efficient service to the patient and the practice at all times.
Experience in General Practice is desirable but not essential.,
- Excellent all round communication skills
- Knowledge of the workings of General Practice (desirable)
- Knowledge of EMIS WEB computer system (desirable)
- Flexibility to cover sickness and holidays over both surgeries, interpersonal & digital skills, Can work as individual or as a team
- Ability to provide quality care, Knowledge of EMIS Web Optum system
- Knowledge of DOCMAN
- knowledge of QOF and local targets, Experience in Phlebotomy
- Experience in performing ECGS
- Experience in delivering wound care, Experience working in Primary Care
- Experience working in GP Practice
- Experience of managing Long Term Conditions, Education to GCSE level of equivalent
