The post-holder will be expected to work across our Acute Medicine services within the inpatient and outpatient setting. They will participate in the acute general medicine resident on-call rota at minimum of IMT3 level. They will work closely with the multidisciplinary team and will have close supervision and training from the Consultants across these services

  • First medical degree
  • Appropriate professional postgraduate qualification e.g. MRCP, MRCS etc., Sound basic clinical skills
  • Competent in management of emergencies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience in delivery of teaching and education. Faculty on local or national courses
  • Full GMC Registration, At least 12 months working in the NHS
  • Audit experience, Professional attitude
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, GP's, nurses and administrative staff.
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with members of the team
  • Ability to function effectively under pressure
  • Interest in learning, development, and service improvement.
