The predicted salary is between 60000 - 80000 £ per year.

We are seeking an enthusiastic salaried GP to join our friendly and forward-thinking training practice for 4-8 sessions per week (full-time or part-time considered).

Salary is competitive and dependent on experience.

We offer 6 weeks annual leave (pro rata) and supported CPD time.

This is a fixed term contract until March 31st 2027, with a possibility of extending depending on funding and mutual agreement.

The post-holder will work as an autonomous practitioner, delivering high-quality, patient-centred clinical care to the practice population.

This role offers a structured and manageable workload.

Patients are triaged by a GP Partner prior to allocation, allowing the post-holder to focus on safe, effective clinical decision-making.

There are no home visits or on-call requirements.

The post-holder will be responsible for their own clinical administration, including referrals, results, and follow-ups.

The post-holder will contribute to the ongoing development of the practice, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adhering to GMC Good Medical Practice standards.

Main Duties of the Job

You will be responsible for the provision of medical services to the Practice, delivering an excellent standard of care.

You will manage a caseload & deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all patients.

  • Clinical responsibilities, contribution to the evaluation/audit & clinical standard setting within the Practice.
  • Commitment to life-long learning & audit to ensure evidence-based best practice.
  • Excellent IT skills to ensure comprehensive accurate records of patient data, whilst good communication skills will enable you to work well with your colleagues & external partners across Bassetlaw.
  • Your knowledge & expertise will help support & develop other clinicians within the Practice, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • To meet the criteria for consideration, you must be a practising GP & hold the following:
  • Qualified GP MRCGP
  • Inclusion on the GMC register
  • On the Performers List
  • Clear Enhanced DBS check
  • The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
  • Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
  • Effective management of long-term conditions
  • Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
  • Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
  • Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
  • Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF
  • Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
  • Prepare and complete the revalidation process
  • Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team
  • Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies at all times
  • Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, promoting a culture of continuous improvement at all times
  • Outstanding level of clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with that of an experienced GP
