The predicted salary is between 10500 - 11000 £ per year.

We are a high‑achieving, forward‑thinking practice in Swinton, serving around 14,000 patients.

Our team includes 5 GP Partners, 4 salaried GPs, 1 ANP, 3 practice nurses, 1 nursing associate, 2 HCAs, a pharmacy team of four and an administration team of twelve.

In this role you will make professional, autonomous decisions regarding presenting problems, whether self‑referred or referred from other health‑care workers within the organisation.

The post‑holder will undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care, including:

Responsibilities

  • Deliver highly effective medical care to the entitled population.
  • Provide services commensurate with the GMS contract.
  • Practice generic prescribing in line with local and national guidance.
  • Manage long‑term conditions effectively.
  • Process administrative tasks promptly, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other related duties.
  • On a rotational basis, conduct telephone triage and duty doctor roles.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with good practice, policy and guidance.
  • Work collaboratively, sharing the practice workload equally.
  • Adhere to best practice recommendations through clinical guidelines and the audit process.
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice.
  • Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the practice, including clinical governance and training.
  • Ensure compliance with the appraisal process.
  • Prepare and complete the revalidation process.
  • Commit to self‑learning and foster an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team.
  • Support the training of GPSTs and FY2 doctors.
  • Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies at all times.
  • Encourage collaborative working by liaising with all staff regularly, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Qualified GP: MRCGP General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training – CCT).
  • Full GMC Registration.
  • National Performers List registration.
  • Competent in the use of Office and Outlook.
  • Experience of QOF and clinical audit.
  • Experience of medicines management.
  • Ability to provide supervision to doctors in training when needed.
