Contract & Pay
Bank contract – part‑time, primarily weekend work. Pay rate: £12.84 per hour with a 20% weekend enhancement.
Responsibilities
- Dismantle, prepare, and sterilise medical instruments for theatre surgery.
- Inspect and maintain instruments to a high standard.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order.
- Check medical equipment for damage and report faults.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
- Resolve problems, escalating issues when necessary.
- Document activities accurately in line with policies and procedures.
- Handle manual tasks up to 13 kg.
- Work effectively within a friendly team.
- Complete required training.
- Use computer systems as needed.
- Show strong attention to detail and a commitment to high quality service.
Qualifications
- Basic general education.
- Proof of literacy and numeracy skills.
- Experience in a sterile services environment preferred.
- Evidence of sterile services training desirable.
- Strong communication skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to perform manual handling up to 13 kg.
