Overview
We're looking for a proactive and customer-focused Private Healthcare Coordinator to join our team.
Acting as the single point of contact for self-pay and insured patients, you'll guide individuals through their entire healthcare journey from initial enquiry to discharge ensuring a seamless, personalised experience.

You will be part of a close knit collaborative team who pride themselves in providing the highest standards to our patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to Patient Services Manager Louise, working 37.5 hours per week.
- Act as the main point of contact for private patients, providing a professional, responsive and personable service throughout their pathway.
- Managing patient journeys end‑to‑end, keeping individuals informed and supported at every stage.
- Using CRM systems to track patient progress, schedule follow‑ups and ensure timely communication.
- Liaising with consultants, GP practices and insurers to gather clinical information and pre‑authorisation details.
- Supporting conversion from outpatient consultation to surgery where appropriate, promoting private healthcare services.
- Handling payments and invoices, and maintaining accurate data for reporting on activity and revenue.
- Working collaboratively with scheduling teams, consultants and the wider hospital to ensure a smooth and joined‑up service.
- Monitoring patient feedback and identifying opportunities to improve the experience.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a high‑volume customer service or bookings environment (healthcare experience desirable).
- A confident communicator with an excellent telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised with strong IT skills and the ability to manage multiple systems (CRM, Healthcode experience desirable).
- Numerate, with the ability to understand and explain procedure pricing.
- A proactive, empathetic approach with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding patient care.
- A strong team player, comfortable working with a range of clinical and non‑clinical stakeholders.
- An interest in private healthcare and delivering a premium patient experience.
