We are looking for a dynamic Technical Services Specialist Pharmacist to join our team to lead the development and management of our Pharmacy Technical Services At LNWH Pharmacy Technical Services, we have four cleanroom suites, manufacturing sterile/aseptic, non-sterile and prepacks products under our Specials manufacturing licence. The Trust has successfully added two new cleanrooms with VHP technology to our Specials Manufacturing licence. As the Principal Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the operational delivery, training, recruitment and as well as maintaining regulatory compliance of the Specials manufacturing. Your will be leading a competent and experience team in the manufacturing of specials products. We are looking for someone who has a proven track record of operational delivery and the ability to improve our current systems and services. As we work closer with our local partners in theICS you will support planning the future of Pharmacy Technical Services in North West London. As a member of the Pharmacy Senior Leadership team, you will support the development of the Pharmacy vision and strategy for the Trust., o Manages and develops all aspects of Technical Serviceso The post holder is required to manage a robust Pharmaceutical Quality System to assure compliance with all relevant legislation, Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Clinical Practice.o The post holder is responsible for the manufacturing of Specials products under the "Specials" Manufacturers Licence. The post holder will be managing the Production managers in Non-Sterile, Sterile, Prepacks and Aseptic department as well as the Specialist Technical Services Pharmacist team.o Be the leading subject matter in all aspects of technical services.o Working with the Divisional Finance team to proactively manage the Pharmacy Technical services business and budgeto Overall responsibility for the management, recruitment, training and appraisal of Pharmacy Technical services staff working within the pharmacy departmento Member of the Pharmacy Senior Leadership Team, To view the main responsibility, please see the attached the Job Description and Person Specification

  • GPhC Registered Pharmacist
  • Postgraduate Qualification in management or specialist area or relevant management experience
  • Thorough knowledge and experience of running a high quality pharmacy service
  • Extensive experience of developing pharmacy services, either clinical or operational, to improve delivery and workflow Medicines Optimisation Strategy and delivery plans of a Pharmacy Department.
  • Demonstrates strategic planning skills, Experience of running a large clinical or operational pharmacy team, Extensive knowledge and experience of compliance with the legislation surrounding pharmaceutical manufacture, GMP and GCP
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of managing a Pharmaceutical Quality System
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of the Pharmaceutical aspects of Clinical Trials
  • Sound knowledge of current therapeutics and pharmaceutics, Extensive Knowledge of engineering issues associated with clean room design build and maintenance., Sound project management skills to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and team building skills
  • Good problem solving, analytical and judgement skills
  • Well-developed negotiating and influencing skills
  • Proven ability to manage change
