The PCIC Clinical Board invites applications for the position of Band 5 Primary Care Prescribing Support Technician within the primary care Prescribing Team.
This role offers the opportunity to gain a broader perspective of pharmacy across interfaces and experience working in a primary care setting with GP practices and community pharmacies in Cardiff and the Vale.
The successful candidate will work with the Prescribing Team and advisors, supporting safe, cost-effective, evidence-based prescribing. Responsibilities include delivering Medicines Management Cost Efficiency Schemes, training prescribing clerks, monitoring contractual compliance, and supporting the development of enhanced services to ensure high-quality, safe community pharmacy services for Cardiff and Vale patients.
The role requires good communication and influencing skills, knowledge of clinical governance standards, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with health professionals and staff. Welsh language skills are desirable; applications from Welsh and/or English speakers are welcome.
