Role Overview

Phlebotomy Health Care Assistant – Supporting dermatologists and nurses in face‑to‑face clinics while assisting with minor procedures.

Conduct own phlebotomy and medical photography clinics, completing questionnaires and capturing specialised images.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dermatologists and nurses in clinical settings and minor procedures.
  • Conduct phlebotomy and medical photography clinics, including patient questionnaires and specialised image capture.
  • Order supplies and equipment.
  • Explain procedures to patients and manage appointment flow.
  • Undertake tasks delegated by clinical and management teams.
  • Provide patient care while maintaining a safe, clean environment.
  • Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and privacy are upheld.
  • Input patient data into computer systems with keen attention to detail.
  • Maintain professionalism, timeliness, reliability, and confidentiality.
  • Use computer software systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), proficiently.

Qualifications

  • Phlebotomy qualification and experience collecting and processing venous blood samples.
  • Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant in a GP practice, hospital, or other clinical setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for patient comfort.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to work independently.
  • Reliable, professional, and committed to the working locations and hours.
  • Working Hours

Full‑time: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, inclusive of occasional weekend work. Clinics run from 8 a. m. to 6 p. m. on a rota basis.
