Role Overview
Phlebotomy Health Care Assistant – Supporting dermatologists and nurses in face‑to‑face clinics while assisting with minor procedures.
Conduct own phlebotomy and medical photography clinics, completing questionnaires and capturing specialised images.
Responsibilities
- Assist dermatologists and nurses in clinical settings and minor procedures.
- Conduct phlebotomy and medical photography clinics, including patient questionnaires and specialised image capture.
- Order supplies and equipment.
- Explain procedures to patients and manage appointment flow.
- Undertake tasks delegated by clinical and management teams.
- Provide patient care while maintaining a safe, clean environment.
- Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and privacy are upheld.
- Input patient data into computer systems with keen attention to detail.
- Maintain professionalism, timeliness, reliability, and confidentiality.
- Use computer software systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), proficiently.
Qualifications
- Phlebotomy qualification and experience collecting and processing venous blood samples.
- Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant in a GP practice, hospital, or other clinical setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for patient comfort.
- Excellent computer skills and ability to work independently.
- Reliable, professional, and committed to the working locations and hours.
- Working Hours
Full‑time: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, inclusive of occasional weekend work. Clinics run from 8 a. m. to 6 p. m. on a rota basis.
