The predicted salary is between 37338 - 40000 £ per year.

The Compliance Assistant supports the compliance team within the Estates and Facilities Department, monitoring Hard and Soft FM and Medical Equipment service provision at Peterborough and retained estates sites.

This is an active role that includes walking‑floor exercises with clinical and non‑clinical colleagues, service providers, Estates, Infection Control teams and external agencies.

The post holder will monitor audit results, complete audit documentation, identify trends and performance failures in service delivery, and may need to travel to Hinchingbrooke Hospital and Stamford Hospital to support compliance activities and attend out of hours audits as required.

The post holder will also work with the wider compliance team to monitor services delivered under the PFI contract at Peterborough City Hospital and service delivery contracts to our retained estates sites, Hinchingbrooke Hospital and Stamford & Rutland Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor audit results and complete audit documentation.
  • Identify trends and performance failures in service delivery.
  • Conduct walking‑floor exercises with relevant stakeholders.
  • Travel to Hinchingbrooke Hospital and Stamford Hospital to support compliance activities.
  • Attend out of hours audits as needed.
  • Work with the compliance team to monitor services under the PFI contract at Peterborough City Hospital.
  • Oversee service delivery contracts to retained estates sites and other hospitals.

Qualifications

  • Good general level of education (e. g., GCSE or equivalent) including English and Maths.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • IT literacy with competence in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working within Estates and Facilities, Soft FM or an NHS organisation.
  • Experience working with a PFI environment or service delivery contracts.
  • Awareness of NHS policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience of cleaning standards and methodologies.
  • Experience working with a wide and varied range of people from different specialities at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work accurately with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage own workload, and have confidence to make decisions.

Priority will be given to colleagues identified as at risk through the Trust's redeployment process.
