This role provides an exciting opportunity to join the Health and Safety team as a Fire Safety Advisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical advice on a range of fire‑related issues and projects, and will advise and support the Senior Fire Safety Advisor in delivering the University Health Board (UHB) service strategy for Fire.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Clinical Service Boards and Capital Estates and Facility teams to ensure they remain fully supported by your Fire Safety expertise.
  • Correctly advise on all aspects of fire‑related risks and ensure that adequate management processes are in place for effective fire safety precautions.
  • Carry out fire safety risk assessments for areas of responsibility and provide regular reports/submissions to senior management on fire‑related issues.
  • Be based at one of the main hospital sites within Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.

Qualifications:

Ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
