Deputy Pharmacy Manager (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)
Spire Leicester Hospital is seeking a highly experienced Pharmacist to join our team as Deputy Pharmacy Manager. This 12‑month contract (part‑time, 30 hours per week) offers an opportunity for leadership development while maintaining a strong clinical presence within a busy and supportive hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the organisation, management and development of the clinical pharmacy service at Spire Leicester Hospital.
- Provide clinical pharmacy input across a range of specialties, ensuring safe and effective use of medicines.
- Work closely with consultants, nurses and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care.
- Support the Pharmacy Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the department.
- Contribute to clinical governance, medicines management and service improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the supervision and development of pharmacy colleagues.
Qualifications & Experience
- Pharmacy degree.
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Extensive post‑registration experience.
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of hospital pharmacy practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous management or supervisory experience.
- Good IT skills.
