Responsibilities

  • Repair, maintenance or installation of plant, equipment, systems, and building structure/fabric.
  • Plan and execute Planned Preventative Maintenance, testing, and calibration.
  • Fault finding, defect correction, and support emergency on‑call rota.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot plant/equipment in compliance with HTM recommendations, PPM schedules, and manufacturer instructions.
  • Specific duties: Building and Minor Electrical, Water Safety, Ventilation System, Decontamination, Medical Gas Management, General Handyperson tasks.

Work Hours & On‑Call

Monday‑Friday 08:00‑16:00, with one Sunday every 4 weeks on call.

Qualifications

  • Relevant certificates or willingness to undertake specialist training.
  • Experience in building services management with demonstrable success.
  • Knowledge of building services and ability to prioritise demands against resources.
  • Recognised apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with C&G.
  • Qualification in Electrical/Mechanical field.
  • Ability to support hospital compliance with changing legislation.
