Lymphoedema Clinical Support Worker in Nottingham

We are seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic support worker to complement our multidisciplinary team within the lymphoedema service at Florence Nightingale Community Hospitals. The post holder will enhance the patient experience by contributing to a friendly, and welcoming clinical environment for patients and visitors. The Derby Lymphoedema Service provides a super specialist service for adults and children with lymphoedema and other related conditions within the local area and around the country. The service has three bases (Florence Nightingale Community Hospital, Long Eaton Health Centre and Kings Mill Hospital) to provide services closer to home for people in Derby, Nottingham and Mansfield. This post is for Lymphoedema Clinical Support Worker at Florence Nightingale Community Hospitals. There is one position available. Recruiting part-time applicants at 30 hours.

Main duties of the job The main elements of the role are: To assist the clinical team in providing direct and individualised patient care and support. To provide administrative support to the clinical team by ordering and posting requested lymphoedema garments and maintaining stock levels within the clinic.

Key Skills and Experience

• A good standard of IT skills
• Able to manage own workload and prioritise tasks
• Able to communicate clearly to patients, relatives, carers, colleagues and other members of the multidisciplinary team, Previous experience in a caring role
• Previous administrative experience, A good basic education at GCSE level
• Well written application and personal statement, Physically able to assist with manual handling and basic patient care
