You will be expected to undertake the following duties:o Provision of a service to Sherwood Forest Hospitals, with responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness, and the proper functioning of the departmento The post holder is expected to contribute towards the teaching and training of medical studentso Cover for colleagues' annual leave and other authorised absenceso Responsibilities for carrying out teaching duties as required and contributing to undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing medical education activityo Participating in medical audit, the Trust's Clinical Governance processes and in CPD - CPD is provided in job plans and attendance at audit and other governance meetings is mandatory. We would encourage contribution to Quality Improvement processes including sustainable development within the department and across the trust., Please see the attached job description for a detailed description of the role and the main responsibilities.

  • Current experience of working within the NHS
  • Must have completed at least 4 years full time postgraduate training at least 2 of which must be in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Able to perform instrumental birth independently and intermediate caesarean section
  • Experience of working on a single registrar tier rota out of hours in the NHS
  • Research,
  • Completed at least one audit project related to Obstetrics and Gynaecology
