Overview
Outpatient Network is looking for Consultant Gynaecologists with a special interest in General Gynaecology, Gynaecological Oncology, and Urogynaecology for nationwide services within NHS insourcing arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality outpatient Gynaecology clinics within NHS insourcing services, assessing and managing patients across General Gynaecology, Gynaecological Oncology, and/or Urogynaecology depending on specialist expertise.
- Diagnose, investigate and formulate management plans for a wide range of benign and malignant gynaecological conditions in line with national and local guidelines.
- Perform appropriate outpatient procedures and diagnostic assessments within your scope of practice.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including specialist nurses, allied health professionals, radiology, pathology and other clinical specialties, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Support elective recovery programmes by delivering safe, efficient and patient‑centred outpatient services while maintaining high clinical standards.
- Complete accurate clinical documentation, coding and outcome letters, ensuring all records meet NHS governance and information governance requirements.
- Contribute to clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, maintaining compliance with GMC standards and Trust policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Hold a CCT in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and be on the GMC Specialist Register.
- Demonstrable special interest in General Gynaecology, Gynaecological Oncology or Urogynaecology.
- Hold a substantive NHS Consultant post.
- Strong communication skills and a patient‑centred approach.
- Commitment to delivering high‑quality care and supporting NHS elective recovery programmes.
Experience & Other Requirements
- Experience working in the NHS.
- Disclosure and Barring Service Check required under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
