The successful applicants will assist in the overall delivery of care to patients within the Primary Care department of HMP Manchester. You will be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. The post holder will at all times comply with the NMC Code of Conduct, relevant legislation policies and procedures.

You will contribute to evidence based patient care and be an integral part of the MDT and wider prison multi agency team. You will have strong communication skills and the ability to make structured professional decisions. The role requires strong emotional resilience, self awareness and continuous reflective practice. You will be supported by your peers and managers. You must have been a UK resident for 3 years to be eligible to apply for this post. due to prison vetting requirements. The role is subject to prison vetting (Counter Terrorism Clearance) which is a condition of employment and must be kept up to date for the duration of your employment.

Ability to provide leadership and management skills to an integrated multidisciplinary team. Ability to organise, prioritise and monitor own and others work load. Supervisory skills including staff appraisal and supervision. Ability to contribute to staff training and development. Ability to communicate and work effectively with service users, carers, other agencies and professionals. Ability to involve service users and carers in service delivery, service evaluation and service development Ability to manage change and contribute to the development of services. Ability to contribute to the development of service policies and strategies. Ability to ensure effective use of information technology. Prepared to work flexibility to meet the needs of the service. At times it may be required for the postholder to undertake clinical duties to support the team's operation. Able to travel to other prisons if required.
