Job Overview
As an Academy Physiologist at Nuffield Health, you will work within a multidisciplinary team of doctors, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals to promote health and fitness as part of a holistic, comprehensive health service.
The role is based at our Manchester Printworks site and requires mobility within the region of your base site.
Responsibilities
- Join the multidisciplinary team and collaborate with doctors, physiotherapists and other professionals.
- Complete our in‑house three‑week training course.
- Deliver health assessments that support health and wellbeing goals.
- Support prevention as well as rehabilitation and recovery.
- Be passionate and caring, putting clients’ needs first.
- Complete our award‑winning preceptorship programme during the first 12 months.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2:2 Sport and Exercise Science degree or equivalent.
- Knowledge of human physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology and nutrition.
- Ability to apply academic knowledge in practical settings.
- Willingness to travel within the region of the base site.
- Training & Development
Successful candidates will attend a scheduled training camp in September2026 and will then participate in a 12‑month preceptorship programme to further develop skills and expertise.
