Overview

As a Digital Trainer at Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust (KMMH), you will design, develop and deliver engaging end‑user training content to support the Trust’s Digital Plan and other Digital Transformation projects.

Your work will enable staff to use digital systems and technologies effectively, contributing to project outcomes and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Identify learning needs and translate them into clear learning objectives.
  • Design, develop and deliver training material using a blended learning approach (guides, videos, e‑learning and face‑to‑face).
  • Translate complex information into concise, non‑technical content that can be understood by end users.
  • Travel to sites to set up training rooms, move equipment, and install software as required.
  • Conduct classroom and online training sessions and provide on‑site support during go‑live and post‑go‑live periods.
  • Create training plans outlining requirements and delivery methods.
  • Monitor the Service Desk and respond to training requests.
  • Generate status reports for the Lead Digital Trainer and maintain workload management.
  • Participate in project workstream meetings, design workshops and user groups; provide briefings on training content development.
  • Gather feedback, resolve issues, and communicate resolutions effectively.
  • Review training delivered and evaluate learning outcomes through customer feedback.
  • Maintain the Digital Hub with up‑to‑date information and train in line with the KMMH Digital Skills Framework.
  • Test systems and applications to understand their impact on end users and determine suitable training methods.

Qualifications

  • Degree level education or equivalent experience in training, education or digital systems.
  • Knowledge of learning styles and effective training delivery.
  • Ability to create training materials across a range of mediums.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and NHS Mail.
  • Experience in instructional design and business process change.
