Law Medical Group Practice is seeking a reliable and organised Receptionist to join our team.
The practice serves the local community in NW London across two sites: Willesden (main site) and Wembley (branch site).
Working Pattern
Full‑time: Monday – Friday, 11:00am – 7:00pm Part‑time: Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 1:30pm – 7:00pm; Tuesday, 1:00pm – 7:00pm; Thursday, 1:30pm – 6:30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all patient interactions at the front desk, including welcoming and directing patients.
- Operate the EMIS appointment system: book appointments, update patient information, and manage the appointment schedule.
- Handle patient queries, phone calls and enquiries, providing timely and professional responses.
- Process incoming correspondence from hospitals, external healthcare providers and agencies; scan, upload, and forward documents within EMIS.
- Maintain accurate patient record management, including photocopying, preparing documentation and attaching relevant files to EMIS records.
- Assist clinicians with day‑to‑day administrative tasks, such as processing clinical letters, patient results and other documentation.
- Provide cover for colleagues during absences to ensure continuity of service.
- Support clinical team with operational tasks, audits and administrative reviews as directed by management.
- Carry out opening and closing procedures in accordance with the practice rota and operational requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient reception environment at all times.
- Eligibility & Qualifications
- UK citizenship required.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in the UK healthcare setting.
- GCSE level education or equivalent; GCSE Mathematics & English (C or above); AMSPAR Receptionists Qualification; NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
- Experience using EMIS or System One.
- Demonstrated experience in administrative duties and working with the general public.
