Role Overview
You will provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for individuals with complex mental health needs, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care that supports recovery and positive outcomes.
Working closely within a multidisciplinary team, you will offer psychological consultation and expertise to colleagues, contribute to formulation-led care planning and support the delivery of therapeutic interventions across the service.
You will also provide clinical supervision and guidance to psychologists, assistant psychologists and trainees, helping to develop a psychologically informed culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for patients with complex mental health needs.
- Offer psychological consultation and expertise to multidisciplinary team members.
- Contribute to formulation-led care planning and support therapeutic interventions.
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to psychologists, assistant psychologists and trainees.
- Contribute to service development, audit, quality improvement and clinical governance activities to ensure safe, effective and compassionate care.
- Work across the wards at Priory Hospital East Midlands, a 28‑bedded specialist acute and psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) service for adult females located between Nottingham and Mansfield.
Qualifications & Experience
- Hold professional registration with HCPC and BPS. • For a consultant post, you are required to have 6 years of post‑qualification experience.
