Job Overview
We are looking for compassionate, patient, and engaging Support Workers to provide dedicated 1:1 care for a bright and lovable 9-year-old boy in his family home.
The child is non-verbal and communicates using a Smartbox.
He enjoys music, games, You Tube, sensory activities, his i Pad, and hydrotherapy sessions.
The role requires building a positive relationship with the child and his family while ensuring safe, nurturing, family-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care, including daily personal care, mobility support, and assistance with household tasks.
- Monitor and support the child’s clinical needs as required.
- Assist with medication administration and use of the Smartbox for communication.
- Ensure confidentiality, privacy, and dignity at all times.
- Work independently, following the individual care plan.
- Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 3 months of care experience.
- Confidence with medication administration, personal care, and moving & handling.
- Clear communication skills; experience with SEN (Special Educational Needs) preferred.
- Full UK manual driving licence.
