What you will bring to the role This role offers the opportunity to work as part of a busy and supportive ward-based pharmacy team, making a direct contribution to patient care across a range of specialties. Key aspects of the role include:
- Working in a patient-facing environment and supporting patients with their medicines
- Ordering, receiving and managing medicines to ensure wards have the medicines they need.
- Stock management and replenishment of medicines at ward level.
- Labelling, dispensing and preparing medicines following training and competency assessment.
- Communicating with patients, ward staff, healthcare professionals and service users.
- Supporting safe and effective medicines use across the Trust.
- Providing supervision, support and training to a variety of different staff
- Developing new skills through structured training, including patient counselling opportunities.
- Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
