Job Overview

Join Stanley House in Ledbury as a Maintenance Assistant, helping to create a well‑presented and safe environment for vulnerable individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that service facilities, buildings, and equipment are maintained and fit for purpose.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and repair faults, ensuring safety for service users, staff and visitors.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks, including repairs, decorating and garden upkeep where required.
  • Assist with the repair and maintenance of all buildings within the service.
  • Support and coordinate contractors, completing necessary paperwork and tool checks.
  • Participate in a one‑week on‑call rota for emergency maintenance.
  • Report all faults and defects to a manager, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a maintenance role.
  • Good DIY skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Courtesy and respect toward residents at all times.
  • A willingness to participate in training and continuous development.
  • Valid DBS disclosure (required).
