Job Overview
Join Stanley House in Ledbury as a Maintenance Assistant, helping to create a well‑presented and safe environment for vulnerable individuals.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that service facilities, buildings, and equipment are maintained and fit for purpose.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and repair faults, ensuring safety for service users, staff and visitors.
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including repairs, decorating and garden upkeep where required.
- Assist with the repair and maintenance of all buildings within the service.
- Support and coordinate contractors, completing necessary paperwork and tool checks.
- Participate in a one‑week on‑call rota for emergency maintenance.
- Report all faults and defects to a manager, ensuring timely resolution.
- Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a maintenance role.
- Good DIY skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Courtesy and respect toward residents at all times.
- A willingness to participate in training and continuous development.
- Valid DBS disclosure (required).
