- Position Overview
- Position: Salaried General Practitioner
- Sessions: 4‑6 per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide primary care via surgery, telephone/video, Accurx, and home visits.
- Participate in on‑call rota and document contemporary consultation notes.
- Make autonomous clinical decisions guided by NICE guidelines and local pathways.
- Assess patients with undifferentiated or undiagnosed problems and screen for disease risk factors.
- Develop and implement care plans in line with practice disease‑management protocols.
- Provide counselling, health education, and manage patient admission or discharge.
- Prescribe acute and repeat medication using computer‑generated prescriptions and the practice formulary.
- Collect audit data and participate in QOF and other clinical audits.
- Attend Clinical and Salaried GP meetings as per the rota.
Qualifications & Experience
- GMC registration with a valid licence to practise and inclusion on the NHS Performers List.
- At least 2 years as a salaried GP, with experience in a primary care environment, QOF, audit, and medicines management.
- Qualified GP – MBBS (or equivalent), MRCGP (CCT) or equivalent certification.
- Full GMC registration; National Performers List registration; eligibility to practise independently in the UK.
- Experience with EMIS clinical system and competence in Office and Outlook.
- Full driving licence.
- Interest in education, teaching, or specialist clinical areas is welcomed.

- Compliance & Safeguarding
