Interventional Radiology Consultant – Responsibilities Provide expert, consultant-level Interventional Radiology services across vascular and non-vascular specialties.

Deliver high-quality outpatient, inpatient, and day-case interventional procedures.

Participate in the IR on-call rota, contributing to 24/7 emergency IR provision.

Collaborate with clinical colleagues including surgery, oncology, hepatobiliary, trauma, renal, and critical care teams.

Contribute to service development, quality improvement and strategic planning within IR.

Supervise and support registrars, fellows and advanced practitioners.

Participate in audit, governance and teaching as part of UHB’s commitment to excellence.

Take part in complex pancreatitis MDT with a secondary interest in abdominal cross-sectional imaging.

Qualifications GMC registered doctor (or eligibility) with FRCR, CCT in Interventional Radiology and fellowship in Interventional Radiology/abdominal imaging.

Minimum 5 years clinical experience, with at least 3 years within the chosen sub-specialty area.

Evidence of Continuing Professional Development, including CME.

Excellent communication and organisational skills, leadership abilities and commitment to teamwork.

Capacity to verify complete details of employment history.
