The predicted salary is between 23970 - 26483 £ per year.

You will be based within the Integrated Administration Hub at Phoenix House, Priory Health Park, Wells.

The role involves working 7.5 hours per day on a rostered basis between 8:00am and 10:00pm, including some weekends, bank holidays and out‑of‑hours cover.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the District Nursing, Community Rehabilitation Service and Older Persons Service within the Mendip Integrated Neighbourhood Teams.
  • Manage telephone calls, emails and database updates to maintain efficient service operations.
  • Prepare, file and update documents, and arrange appointments for managers, staff and service users.
  • Handle enquiries from managers, staff and service users.
  • Work flexible hours on a rostered basis, including weekends, bank holidays and out‑of‑hours cover, to support integrated neighbourhood services.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • RSA3 Word processing/typing or equivalent, RSA Stage II/III, or NVQ 2/3 in business and administration (or working towards within an agreed time scale).
  • Good standard of education with English and maths to GCSE standard or equivalent; NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent NVQ 2 in administration/customer care.
  • Audio typing skills, experience of databases and general computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
  • Experience using electronic systems such as Rio Integra and Eroster.
  • Experience setting up and maintaining office systems.
  • Strong teamwork experience and the ability to work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, compassionate and empathetic when interacting with patients, carers and relatives.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.
  • Willingness to use technology to improve standards of care and support for patients.
  • Access to transport to attend meetings or training events across the country.
  • Additional Requirements
  • Conscientious and reliable with a willingness to be flexible in order to meet the needs of the service.
  • Significant experience in administrative roles.
