Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintaining buildings, facilities and equipment to be fit for purpose.
  • Use DIY skills to perform safety checks and repairs.
  • Carry out regular maintenance checks.
  • Assist in all decorating tasks.
  • Report faults and defects to management.
  • Participate in a one‑week on‑call rota for emergency maintenance.
  • Coordinate and support external contractors, complete paperwork and tool checks.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Show courtesy and respect to patients at all times.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a maintenance role.
  • Capable DIY skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.
  • Compliance with system and procedures.
  • Willingness to attend training sessions and staff meetings.
  • Commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of service users.
  • All candidates will be subject to a DBS disclosure.
