If you are passionate about caring for the elderly and desire a long‑term career in a respected home, Akari Care is looking for a Housekeeper. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in residents’ rooms and communal areas, support and coach domestic and laundry teams, ensure accurate rostering and prioritise resident care, and continuously improve standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in residents’ rooms and communal areas.
- Support, train and coach domestic and laundry teams.
- Plan and manage accurate staff rostering to ensure adequate coverage.
- Prioritise resident care and promote continuous improvement of standards.
- Assess domestic needs of residents and ensure delivery to the highest standards.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures, contributing to residents’ quality of life.
Qualifications
- Housekeeper or team leader experience in a similar environment.
- Caring nature with the ability to give a personal approach to everyone.
- Flexible and adaptable to changes at short notice.
- Strong work ethic and solution‑based problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure without negatively impacting others.
- Warm, approachable, and engaging persona.
- Respectful and resilient towards colleagues and residents.
