Overview
Join the Facilities Services Team within the Community Hospitals to support the maintenance of a hygienic and clean environment for patients, staff and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and hygienic environment across patient care areas.
- Respect patient privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times.
- Comply with Trust Infection Control Policies and minimise the risk of healthcare‑associated infection.
- Carry out general cleaning duties and support other facilities services as needed.
- Work flexibly and enthusiastically, both as part of a team and independently when required.
- Adapt to variable shift patterns as outlined below.
Qualifications
- Passion for cleanliness and a keen eye for detail.
- Flexible and enthusiastic attitude towards staffing and working hours.
- Ability to work independently and under supervision.
- Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping environment (preferred but not essential).
- No prior hospital experience required.
- Working Hours and Schedule
The role involves a rotating shift pattern to meet service needs.
- Week1: Mon 06:00‑10:00, Tue 06:00‑10:00, Wed & Thu – Day off, Fri, Sat & Sun 06:00‑10:00.
- Week2: Mon 06:00‑10:00, Tue & Wed – Day off, Thu 06:00‑10:00, Fri 15:00‑19:00.
- Flexibility may be required in line with operational needs.
