Position Overview
General Practitioner role, seeing patients face to face or speaking to them on the telephone and completing administrative work related to patient care in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Face‑to‑face, telephone and online consultations and queries
- Visit patients at home as needed
- Handle queries, paperwork (Docman assigned reports, BT results) and correspondence by the end of the working day
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to support patient care
- Be flexible and responsive to the surgery’s changing needs
- Participate proactively in practice meetings and propose new ideas and processes to improve the surgery
- Cope with the stresses associated with General Practice and maintain high quality patient care
Team and Culture
We are a small, supportive surgery with 1 partner, 2 salaried GPs, an ANP, a practice nurse, a healthcare assistant, a physiotherapist, 2 clinical pharmacists, and an admin team. We are committed to high quality patient care and continuous improvement.
Working Hours and Start Date
2–4 sessions per week (Wednesdays essential, Tuesdays desirable but flexible). Preferred start date: end of August; negotiable.
