About the Role
As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you will ensure the environment is clean, well‑maintained, and welcoming for residents and staff.
The role offers a variety of tasks in the building, gardens, and grounds – from fixing a leaky tap to planting new bulbs.
You will work independently and lead a team, support the General Manager with annual budget planning, and liaise with contractors for projects beyond the team’s scope.
Qualifications
- Hands‑on experience in property maintenance
- At least one trade skill
- Full UK driving licence
- IT literacy
- GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Reliable and flexible working hours
