About the Role
You will be a Senior Care Assistant at Acacia Mews Care Home in Hertfordshire, delivering safe and compassionate personal care and contributing to a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the care team to deliver high standards of personal care.
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes requiring updates to care plans.
- Participate in person‑centred care planning, including implementing and evaluating care plans monthly.
- Assist with medication administration.
- Provide staff supervision and support staff development as needed.
- Act as a point of contact for residents, relatives, and visitors, coordinating with health and social care professionals.
- Escalate concerns or complaints appropriately.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care for care homes.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar care environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude toward supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
- Responsive and flexible, able to cover a range of responsibilities.
- Valid DBS disclosure; cost covered by Avery Healthcare.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
