About the Role

You will be a Senior Care Assistant at Acacia Mews Care Home in Hertfordshire, delivering safe and compassionate personal care and contributing to a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the care team to deliver high standards of personal care.
  • Monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes requiring updates to care plans.
  • Participate in person‑centred care planning, including implementing and evaluating care plans monthly.
  • Assist with medication administration.
  • Provide staff supervision and support staff development as needed.
  • Act as a point of contact for residents, relatives, and visitors, coordinating with health and social care professionals.
  • Escalate concerns or complaints appropriately.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care for care homes.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar care environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude toward supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
  • Responsive and flexible, able to cover a range of responsibilities.
  • Valid DBS disclosure; cost covered by Avery Healthcare.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
