Job Summary In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.

Responsibilities Take clinical responsibility for patients, leading multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, and treatment planning.

Act as the Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).

Lead psychiatric assessments, support admissions, and provide specialist clinical input to the multidisciplinary team.

Contribute to clinical governance, service development, and strategic planning to ensure high-quality patient care.

Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, contribute to training programmes, and maintain CPD and revalidation requirements.

Participate in the on‑call rota and provide cover across satellite sites when required.

Qualifications MRCPsych (or an equivalent qualification).

A CCT (or equivalent).

Included on the GMC Specialist Register.

Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status.

Demonstrated clinical knowledge, skills, and experience relevant to the speciality.

Ability to work within and lead a team.

Commitment to shared leadership, collaborative working, and service improvement.

Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.
