About the Role

As an Activities Driver at Guildford House Care Home, you will provide safe, timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from various activities, ensuring their comfort and safety during transit.

You will also offer pickup and delivery services as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide transportation services for residents.
  • Assist residents with special needs during transportation, such as carrying packages, opening doors, and helping residents onto and out of the vehicle.
  • Focus on driving while delegating tasks and passenger interactions to onboard support staff.
  • Offer miscellaneous pickup and delivery services as needed.

Qualifications

  • PCV licence with Cat D1 and an acceptable driving record.
  • Periodic Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training.
  • Knowledge of all safety precautions and compliance with safety procedures.
  • Ability to react calmly in emergencies.
  • DBS Disclosure check (cost met by Avery Healthcare) and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
