This role will be fundamental to the delivery and running of a high quality and effective Lung Cancer service which will identify asymptomatic people, providing early diagnosis of both lung cancer and other lung diseases.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Run virtual and face-to-face nurse-led clinics.
- Assess patient risk and refer high‑risk individuals for Low‑Dose CT.
- Deliver high‑quality respiratory assessments and offer smoking cessation support as part of the screening pathway.
- Provide effective health promotion and tailored patient education.
- Recognise and elevate safeguarding concerns, red‑flag symptoms or emergencies.
- Maintain required accreditations (IRMER on induction; ARTP for spirometry where needed).
- Work as part of a 7‑day service, including bank holidays, following a standard 12‑hour shift pattern while supporting early diagnosis of lung cancer and other respiratory conditions.
Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence with willingness to work across mobile sites.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confident using a range of IT systems and software.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and further training.
