A vacancy has arisen for a Fixed Term Specialty Training post (FTSA) in Neurology at Registrar (STRH) level within the department of Neurology at the University Hospital of Wales. The post is for a 6-month fixed term period (6th August 2025 to 3rd February 2026). This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated candidate interested in neurology to work at registrar training grade in the neurosciences department in Cardiff.

Main duties include working alongside current specialist registrars and internal medicine trainees, under consultant supervision, managing the inpatient neurology ward, outpatient clinics, and day unit. The role involves being part of the out-of-hours resident on-call rota (evenings until 9.30 pm and weekends). The successful candidate will gain exposure to a range of neurological conditions and have training opportunities alongside other registrars, with scope to develop personal interests or projects within the department\’s needs.

Applicants should have completed MRCP (part 2 and PACES) or an equivalent qualification. Some prior neurology experience is advantageous but not essential.
